New England Dwarf Car Series
New London-Waterford Speedbowl to be added to 2024 New England Dwarf Car Series Schedule!
Nashua, NH – The New England Dwarf Car Series Presented by Bumpy’s Auto Service is pleased to announce that the series will be making its first trip to the Connecticut seacoast to race at the famed 3/8th mile New London-Waterford Speedbowl. Series officials were able to work track management to find a date that worked for both. The series will travel south on Saturday June 8 for 25 laps of wheel to wheel action!
The New London-Waterford Speedbowl is located in Waterford, CT and was built in 1951 as a 1/3-mile crushed blue stone oval track but after 3 weeks of racing action the decision was made to pave the track due to dust. Interesting to note the track is now a 3/8th mile but the only thing that has changed was around the year 2000 the track was remeasured under a change in guidelines for measuring by NASCAR and the track was declared a 3/8th mile!
General Manager Lorriane Paird was instrumental in getting the date for the series with her connections at the track due to other series she works for stated “We are really happy we were able to get a date, our drivers have been expressing interest in trying new tracks and New London-Waterford Speedbowl was one of the tracks that has been mentioned regularly.”
